Propecia / Finasteride is an anti-androgen medicine in the form of a tablet that combats the effects of the male sex hormones. Propecia has been beneficial to about 80 percent of the people consuming it in a span of three to six months. Apart from halting
hair loss in male, it has even helped in promoting hair re-growth. For continuous hair growth, it is advisable that the treatment is not stopped. A monthly dosage of Propecia would cost around £30, and it has to be taken only on a specialist’s prescription.
Plastic Surgery:
This may come off as the last option to recoup lost hair, and is among the best available today.
Hair Transplanting – Here, the non-sensitive hair from the back are moved to the top, if hair loss is limited to the scalp’s front. Whether a person can be allowed to undergo the transplant is based on various factors like hair colour, age, nature of hair, curliness of the hair, etc.
Flap Surgery – A very good option when the hair loss is experienced on a smaller region of the scalp. Areas having larger hair are worked up on and the affected area is treated.
Scalp Reduction – This technique is best suited for a person who has a small bald spot on the top.
